Privacy Preserving Cloud Computing Expert
I am a PhD student at UT Dallas. My research objective is to build reliable, accountable, and efficient cloud computing environment, where user don't need to worry about their privacy. I work in UTD Data Security and Privacy Lab with Dr. Murat Kantarcioglu. We focus on using existing well proven cryptographic methods and systems to build privacy preserving systems that can leverage cloud computing. Currently I am focusing on using hardware based trusted execution environment (TTE), such as Intel SGX, to build practical secure systems.
Apart from that, I also work in Data Security Technologies as Lead Software Developer and Principal Investigator of NSF SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) grant. Core mission of our company is to build secure big data infrastructure, where business and individuals can utilize the power of big data without worrying about security, privacy of their data. In addition we also provide 360° view of data and provide real-time threat detection using cutting edge machine learning technique.
A file synchronizing system, which enables user to upload files in encrypted form to online file storage system, such as Dropbox, and gives user the option to search and share the encrypted files.
A secure map-reduce job execution system on top of hadoop, which can execute range queries securely in a ￼network topology where map jobs run in untrusted nodes forcing data encryption in datanodes.
A web application for monitoring student progress utilizing RtI method, which is an academic intervention method designed to provide early, effective assistance to children having difficulty learning.
